Allow your excitement to consume you

"My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart." — Maya Angelou

I feel a spark of energy, the thrill of newness and the unknown.

Do you feel it?

It's the burgeoning of what's next, even if we can't quite see what that will be, accompanied by the rush of anticipation for all that we can and will grow into.

If you feel this spark of intensity, this sudden yearning for your own evolution, take your excitement and run with it.

If you don't yet feel this excitement, take care to foster circumstances for yourself that will eventually lead to it. Take moments to be quiet, inward, contemplating what it is that will nudge you forward on your path and bring a glint to your eye.

We're almost two weeks into the new year, and only just now does it feel like I have a small glimpse of what is in store for 2017.

I'm trying to soak it in, to gather knowledge and skills that I will use for growth in the months to come.

Now is a time of action, but also but anticipation.

We can begin forming the building blocks for what is to come, but we do not yet entirely know to what end.

And that is perfectly okay, to be expected, even.

When has life ever turned out exactly as we think it will?

It never has, which fortunately gives us a great deal of flexibility for pursuing what we think will be the next facet of our purpose and our deepest enjoyment.

If something lights you up, follow that light.

Commit to nurturing your flame of interest into a roaring fire, let it consume you with it's passionate heat.

Not everyone will understand, but they don't have to.

The warmth of this fire is for you alone, and with its blaze you can burn your mark.

You don't have to know your destination to have a fulfilling journey, but you do need to be inspired to act and walk forward on your path.
